How can Better Intimacy help me?

Better Intimacy turns daily relationship moments into clarity and action. Capture lightweight context (mood, rituals, connection, conflict signals) and Aurora helps you notice patterns and choose a next step.

What can the app do for me?

Log moods, rituals, intimacy, and meaningful moments; turn patterns into insights; generate Heartfelt Love Messages; share scoped moments with feedback; and export or back up your data.

What do I need to do to get the best out of the app?

Log a few moments a week, add at least one partner, share intentionally, and review insights weekly to choose one micro-ritual to try next.

How do I add events / moments?

Use the add flow inside the app to log a moment, add just enough detail to be useful, then choose whether it stays private or is shared.

How do I use Heartfelt Love Messages?

Pick a partner and an intention (gratitude, repair, desire, reassurance), generate a draft, edit it to sound like you, and (optionally) save it so Aurora learns what resonates.

Why is privacy important for Better Intimacy?

Relationship data is sensitive. If people feel watched, they stop being honest. Better Intimacy is designed so you can be real without oversharing.

Why use nicknames instead of real names?

Nicknames reduce risk. If you never store real names or identifying details, there’s less to leak and less to misuse.

How safe is this app?

Data is protected in transit and at rest. Sharing is explicit and revocable, and exports/backups are designed to stay under your control.

Do I own my data?

Yes. Your relationship history belongs to you. Better Intimacy is a tool to help you organise and interpret it.

Can I export my data for a psychologist / couples therapist?

Yes. Export practical formats (like CSV) and create secure exports/backup files when you need to share selectively or store privately. You control what you share and when.

How does Better Intimacy compare with marriage therapy?

Better Intimacy is not a therapist. Think of it as your day-to-day relationship operating system. It helps you track real moments, feelings, and communication patterns between sessions (or without therapy), and it can complement therapist work by bringing clear timeline context, which often saves session time. It also includes practical guided Journeys (including therapist-informed formats like 7-day letter exercises). For some couples, consistent daily use creates more momentum than occasional sessions alone. For clinical issues, trauma, or safety concerns, licensed professional support remains essential.

How does backup & restore work?

Backups create an encrypted file you can store privately. Restore brings that file back later to recover your workspace. Store backups securely and don’t share them casually.

How can I share information with my partner?

Share specific moments (or an entire day) and invite feedback. You can also generate share-links for people who don’t have the app. Sharing is scoped and revocable.

Do I (or my partner) need to answer questionnaires?

No. The app works even if only one person logs moments. Questionnaires and prompts are optional tools to add structure.

Do I have access to my partner’s questionnaire answers?

Only if your partner explicitly shares them. Private reflections stay private by default.

Does my partner have access to my data?

Partners can access what you explicitly share with them, plus anything they contribute themselves (their feedback and their own moments). Private moments stay private unless you share them.

Why are some features locked at first, and can I show everything now?

Better Intimacy uses progressive unlock so new members learn core actions first, then unlock advanced features as readiness grows. This reduces overwhelm and helps people understand the most powerful tools step by step. If you prefer full navigation immediately, open App Settings → Navigation Mode and choose Show all.

How many partners can I have?

Better Intimacy can support multiple partners when your life requires it. Each partner connection is scoped—no partner automatically sees another partner’s information.

I’m not married and I date different partners over time. Can I track different partners and keep history?

Yes. Better Intimacy supports multiple partner timelines, so you can keep a private relationship history like a structured diary. Free supports up to 2 partners, and Premium unlocks unlimited partners. Access is always scoped (one partner cannot automatically see another), and your data stays yours with export/backup controls.

Does the AI know my real name, address, or other personal details?

Better Intimacy is designed to work without real-world identifiers. Avoid typing personal identifying information into notes (recommended) and the AI doesn’t need it.

Does the AI learn personal identifying information (PII) about my partner?

No partner PII is required to get value. Use nicknames and keep identifying details out of free-text notes.

Why doesn't Better Intimacy use Google OAuth login?

Because privacy comes first. OAuth providers can receive account-linking metadata. Better Intimacy favors lower-disclosure sign-in options so fewer identity details are shared outside your relationship workspace.

Can one partner see another partner’s information, calendar, or questionnaires?

No. Partner access is scoped. A partner only sees what’s shared with them, and only within their connection to you.
